Atelier is the French word for "workshop", and in English is used principally for the workshop of an artist in the fine or decorative arts.

From the refined elegance and romance of the 18th century to the post-apocalyptic sublime, the ACAD 333 artists explore conceptual themes through a wearable art practice.

The Alberta College of Art + Design's wearable art class would like to introduce Atelier, this years annual wearable art performance at Art Central's Birthday Party and The Art Gallery of Calgary's ARTwear fundraiser.

Demonstrating skills from various disciplines the artists display a cohesive
creative vision. From fur to steel and lace to leather they sew, forge, and
crochet objects from their hearts and from their heads.

One of Calgary's best art performances, this show never fails to be a huge hit! Please come out to support the Calgary arts community and the dedicated artists of this wonderful annual event!
